Tacloban City – Relatives and friends of those who perished during typhoon Yolanda lined up the street of Tacloban to light the candles provided by the organizer for the “Yolanda Candle lighting Memorial.
The activity that started as early as 4:00 O’clock in the afternoon and ended with an ecumenical service was also participated by various humanitarian organizations that are actively engaged in the post Yolanda rehabilitation efforts.
It was also observed that residents of the city who did not participate in the candle – lighting ceremony lighted candles in their respective homes to honor the dead.
