San Roque, Northern Samar – Anti-drug operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office VIII and Northern Samar PPO-Intel/PAIDSOTG, San Roque Municipal Police Station-MAIDSOTF implemented a Search Warrant on March 11, 2015 at around 09:30 AM at Brgy. Zone 5, San Roque, Northern Samar.
PDEA RO VIII Officer-in-Charge Director Laurefel P. Gabales identified the suspects as Adolfo Avalon y Siervo (No. 1 Municipal Targetlist of San Roque MPS), 45 years old, married, Job Order employee at Provincial Mining Regulatory Board as Watcher and a resident of Brgy. Zone 5, San Roque, Northern Samar; and Noemi L. Siervo, 41 years old, married, Job Order as Confidential Assistant of Mayor in Pambujan, Northern Samar.
Apprehended from the suspects possession were sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of Ten Thousand pesos (Php10,000.00) weighing MOL 2.5 grams and assorted drug paraphernalia. Seized from Avalon’s possession were one cal pistol M1911, one 9mm cal pistol, one cal 45, one homemade cal 38, one hand grenade, assorted live ammunition.
Both suspects will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of the Equipment, Instrument, Apparatus and Other Paraphernalia for Dangerous drugs) Article II of R.A 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Additional charged for violation of RA 8294 will be filed against Avalon.
The suspects are now temporarily detained at San Roque Police Lock-up Facility.
