TACLOBAN CITY, March 25 (PNA) -– The Leyte provincial government declared Senate President Franklin M. Drilon as an “adopted son” of the province through a resolution by the provincial board.

The board’s floor leader Florante Cayunda Jr. authored the resolution, backed by all members presents during Tuesday’s regular session.

Drilon, in his message said he is in one with the leadership of Governor Leopoldo Dominico Petilla and Vice Governor Carlo Loreto.

“We are working together to bring back Leyte in its glory,” Drilon told local lawmakers.

Drilon was in the city as the guest speaker for the commencement exercises of the Leyte Normal University and the Eastern Visayas State University on Tuesday.

He was also the special guest of the blessing of the repaired Sanguniang Panlalalwigan (provincial board) building and re-launching of the SP paperless session. (PNA)
