TACLOBAN CITY – Manhunt operations were conducted against perpetrators of a 19-year old boy who was stabbed to death at Barangay 25, Magsaysay Boulevard, Wharf area, Tacloban City.
The victim was identified as Danly Manabat y Sicat, 19 years old, Baker of Elena bakeshop, and a resident of Baranggay 74 Nula-tula whose perpetrators are still unidentified.
According to PSSUPT Rolando Bade, City Director of Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO), initial investigation revealed that the victim with his two male friend were having a drinking spree at the aforementioned wharf when the suspects confronted and mauled them.
Afterwards, the victim’s friends were pushed towards the sea.
Meanwhile one member of the suspect armed with a bladed weapon delivered a stabbed- thrust to the victim there in by hitting the same on the upper back portion of the body.
The wounded victim was also pushed towards the sea by the perpetrator and immediately escaped from the place of incident.
The victim was lift by his friends towards the seashore.
Manabat was transported by TACRU personnel to EVRMC Hospital but unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA) by attending physician.
