Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte, Jan 5, 2017 – PCSUPT ELMER C BELTEJAR, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 8 denies to have received any intelligence report regarding the presence in Tacloban City of any group of persons suspected to be responsible on the recent bombing in Hilongos Leyte.
He said, rumors circulating in the media platforms that the persons responsible are in Tacloban City is baseless.
PRO8 is on the top of the situation and has undertaken proactive measures to ensure the security and safety of the public by deploying more policemen in the streets and in places of convergence such as malls, terminals, ports and public markets.
The PNP leadership calls for the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious-looking persons in the area, as it is inherent on each and every one to safeguard the community against lawlessness.
