CATARMAN, Northern Samar, 23 September (PIA) – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Northern Samar 2nd District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO) hits the zenith recognized as top performing district in Region 8 in the implementation of infrastructure project as of August, 2016.
NSSDEO District Engineer Ferdinand Briones achievement was announced by DPWH OIC-Regional Director Edgar Tabacon during a meeting.
This covers the 89.84% accomplishment of projects implemented for the first half of this year, and part of which is the completion of 22 projects and 19 still on-going of the 41 total active projects being implemented in the second district, said Mr. Rey Orsua, PIO Unit.
On the other hand, DE Briones emphasized, the focus of the NSSDEO which is to fast track the construction of high impact projects to include the road opening in Las Navas which amounted to P199 Million to be undertaken by NSSDEO instead of the Regional Office before the year ends.
Briones disclosed further, the project for the Calendar Year 2017 is now on its pre-detailed engineering activities, that is, preparation of plans and programs of works to include the conduct of survey. (Ailene N. Diaz/PIA-Northern Samar)
