Catarman, Northern Samar – Anti-drug operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office VIII and Catarman Municipal Police Station- MAIDSOTF arrested a drug personality during a buy-bust operation at G.H. Del PIlar Brgy. Molave, Catarman Northern, Samar on February 28, 2015 at around 9:00 PM.
PDEA RO VIII Officer-in-Charge Director Laurefel P. Gabales identified the suspect as Renan Miranda y Lazaro alyas “Botoy”, 39 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. 1, Rosario, Northern Samar.
The suspect was caught selling one (1) piece plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. When frisked, the suspect yielded two (2) more sachets of suspected shabu.
Miranda will be charge for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of R.A 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at Catarman Police Station Lock-up Facility.
