A municipal employee was arrested by anti-drug operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office VIII and Silago Police Station during a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Mercedes, Silago Southern Leyte on April 17, 2015.
PDEA Regional Office VIII Officer-in-Charge Dir. Laurefel P. Gabales identified the suspect as Levie Sinahon y Tagnipez Jr., married, Senior Bookkeeper in Municipality of Silago, Southern Leyte and a resident Brgy. Mercedes, Silago Southern Leyte.
At around 02:00 PM, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 8 and Silago Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation which resulted to the arrest of the suspect. He was caught selling two (2) pcs. small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
Sinahon is temporarily detained at PDEA RO VIII Detention Facility. He will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165.
