TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, April 9 (PIA) –The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 8 and its field offices are now accepting applications for the conduct of Fire Officers Examination scheduled on August 16, 2015 in the city.
In a press statement, CSC Regional Director Victoria F. Esber said applications are accepted at their offices from April 6 to June 17, 2015 from 8 o’clock in the morning to 5 0’clock in the afternoon without noon break.
All applicants must strictly meet the following requirements; must be a Filipino citizen, must be of good moral character, mentally and physically fit, must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or of disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness or addiction to drugs; must not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed from any civilian positions in the government; must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning and must be 21 to 35 years old at the date/time of filing of application.
CSC emphasized that those who have already passed the Career Service Professional Examination as well as passers of the Bar and Board Examinations and those who were granted the Honor Graduate Eligibility pursuant to Presidential Decree (P.D.) 907 may opt not to apply anymore.
Applicants are also being reminded by the Civil Service Commission to accomplish properly the prescribed application form and submit the same together with 4 copies of identical I.D. pictures which are taken within 3 months prior to the filing of examination, a Philippine passport size, colored with white background, printed on good quality photo paper, in standard close-up shot(from shoulder level up with headand face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag positioned at approximately 1” or 2.54 cm below the chin.), in bare face with no eyeglasses or any accessories to cover the facial features, showing left and right ears, taken in full-face view directly facing the camera, with neutral facial expression and both eyes open and with full and handwritten name tag with signature over printed name.
Applicants are also required to present an original and photocopy of any valid ID which is not expired upon filing of application like a drivers license, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Philhealth ID, Company/Office ID, School, Postal, BIR, Voter’s ID, TIN ID, Valid Passport or Police Clearance and a photocopy of the same shall be attached to the application form to serve as reference for room examiners on the day of the examination.
