Camp Ruperto Kangleon, Campetic, Palo, Leyte – Police Regional Office 8 Regional Director, PCSUPT JOSE ERWIN T VILLACORTE turned-over the 282 new police recruits from Class KAMANDAG 2016 to the Philippine Public Safety College, Regional Training Center 8 (RTC) to undergo a one (1) monthField Training Exercise (FTX) Evaluation from June 7 until July 7, 2016.

This 282 police rookies just completed their five (5) months Field Training Exercise where they were deployed to the different police stations and trained on the different police functions in the field of traffic, investigation and patrol.

This training is part of Field Training Program with an over-all training period of 12 months, upon completion of the series of trainings, the rookies will obtain a permanent appointment to the Philippine National Police and the trust of the organization that they have obtained enough knowledge on these three (3) fields.

“The five (5) months Field Training Exercise (FTX) and one (1) month evaluation is aimed to harness their competence, discipline and professionalism in line with the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 program of the PNP and they will be evaluated according to their acquired rates given by their respective Field Training Officers,” says PCSUPT VILLACORTE.

During the turn-over ceremony, PSSUPT NICERIO D OBAOB, Chief, RPHRDD reminds the trainees the value, attitude and dedication to duty as he stressed: “Pulis dapatdisiplinado, hindi abusado, dapat asintado!”he stressed.

After the one (1) month FTX Evaluation, the new police officers will be endorsed to the Regional Headquarters for a 45-day PNP S.C.O.U.T Training prior assignment at the Regional Public Safety Batallion 8 (RPSB8) for five (5) years before they will be ready for field assignments equipped with knowledge and capabilities on the different police functions.
