Camp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte- After a series of rigorous screening and strict selection process, one hundred three (103) police recruits took their oath as Police Officers 1 for CY 2014 Recruitment Program in front of PRO8 Admin Building, September 10, 2014, Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte.
During the ceremony, PSSUPT CEDRICK G TRAIN, Deputy Regional Director for Administration delivered the Welcome Remarks and gave emphasis on “Serbisyong Makatotohanan” and the philosophy of the Philippine National Police which are Makadyos, Makakalikasan, Makatao and Makabansa.
No less than PRO8 Regional Director, PCSUPT HENRY P LOSAÑES personally administered the Oath-Taking ceremony and witnessed by other PNP officers, parents, relatives and friends of the police recruits and PRO8 personnel.
PCSUPT LOSAÑES congratulates all the recruits and welcomes them in the Police Organization. He urged the recruits not to be one of those police scalawags. “Don’t ruin your career, the organization, yourself and your family by engaging in illegal acts”, the Regional Director stressed.
RD LOSAÑES challenged the new members of the PNP to stand up to their oath and urged them to spend time in the name of public service. “Take the initiative to be educated and molded into the shape that every police must be” he emphasized.
He encouraged the new police officers not to be similar with the 12 police officers allegedly involved in the latest “hulidap” incident along Mandaluyong in Metro Manila.
After the oath taking ceremony, they were immediately turned-over to the Regional Training School 8 for their six (6) months Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC), five (5) months Field Training Exercise (FTX) to the different police stations selected as Field Training Centers (FTC) and one (1) month Field Training Evaluation and Assessment (FTA) to complete the one year Field Training Program.
