ORMOC CITY, Leyte, Sept. 17 (PNA) -– The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced a 10-hour blackout in northwest Leyte on Saturday.
Areas affected are the entire Ormoc City as well as nearby towns of Kananga, Matag-ob, Albuera, Leyte and Calubian.
Reason for the scheduled power interruption is the replacement of rotten wooden poles and installation of guys as well as correction of remaining works on the commissioning of the 100MVA transformer.
Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption (PNA)
