TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte (PIA) – In order to help alleviate the condition of the people in Eastern Visayas, the Technical Educational Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has alloted 10, 000 scholarship grants for the region.
This is in line with the direction and priorities of Duterte administration.
In his recent visit in the city, TESDA Secretary Guiling Mamondiong explained that the scholarship grants will be available until the second quarter of next year.
“We already sent letters to the barangay chairmen to inform them of the program and submit nominees or those who are qualified to avail the scholarship grant offered by the government.
Those who are computer-literate may apply the scholarship grant by logging on to their websites from the national down to the provincial offices of TESDA.
TESDA also accepts walk-in applicants in the provincial offices, training centers and the regional office.
Mamondiong met Tuesday with the industry and TVET stakeholders during a one-day regional consultation in Tacloban.(ajc/PIA-8)
