Albuera Leyte Mayor Ronaldo Espinosa is now in the custody of PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa in Camp Crame.
The Mayor who is accused of being involved in the illegal drugs activities met the deadline set by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for him to surrender within 24 hours.
There are no other details however regarding the circumstances of his surrender.
His son Kerwin Espinosa a suspected big time drug lord operating in the visayas is still at large.
