The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has awarded 5 Model Families of Samar Province last December 3, 2012.
Five family households represented by the mother-grantees namely: Lucy Regahal of Basey, Marilyn Embalsado of San Sebastian, Rowena Advincula of Sta. Rita, Avelina Ma?ozo of Gandara and Editha Rebato of San Jose De Buan had received awards as recognition for having religiously exemplified compliance to their co-responsibilities in the program. They also demonstrated adopting Filipino value and strong family ties thru the Search for Huwarang Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino nationwide.
The model families are family-beneficiaries of the program, endorsed by Parent-Leaders, Barangay Captains of Local Government Units and is verified as compliant to the conditions of the program thru the Compliance Verification System. Each family had received a plaque of recognition, certificate and a cash price of P 5,000.00.
The DSWD Regional Office, under the leadership of Director Leticia Diokno, has already awarded five model families from Leyte, four from Biliran, five from Northern Samar, and soon in the provinces of Southern Leyte and Eastern Samar.
