A 42-year old male drug pusher was arrested by joint anti-drug elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Biliran Municipal Police Station, during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bato, Biliran, Biliran on April 06, 2015.
PDEA Regional Office VIII Officer-in-Charge Dir. Laurefel P. Gabales identified the suspect as Charito Piad y Abtina, married, and a resident of Brgy. Bato, Biliran, Biliran.
At around 10:45 PM, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 8 and Biliran Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation which resulted to the arrest of the suspect. He was caught selling suspected shabu and found in his possession and control were two (2) pcs. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet suspected to be shabu.
Piad is temporarily detained at Biliran Municipal Police Station Lock-up cell. He will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165.
