TACLOBAN CITY – A firefight ensued friday morning as government forces served search warrants against two drug personalities in Brgy. District 3, Babatngon Leyte .
The Anti-elements of PDEA RO8 and 8th MIB was trying to serve a warrant of arrest to suspects named Leyman Perol alyas “Guti” and Isidro Herrera alyas” Tolindoy” for violation of RA 9165.
During the arrest, operating member Daryl Francisco engaged in a firefight which prompted the team to fire back resulting to a gunshot wound on his upper left chest and lower right abdomen.
Francisco was immediately brought to EVRMC Hospital, Tacloban City for an urgent medical attention.
Recovered at the crime scene was one (1) unit cal. 45 pistol STI made bearing Serial no. 241517 with one (1) magazine loaded with three (3) remaining live ammunition.
The main targets are still at large.
