TACLOBAN CITY- A mild tremor jolted Southern Leyte on Sunday night with no aftershock reported.

The Sunday night earthquake was traced at 10.31 degree north, 125.30 degree east,51 degree east of Hinundayan, Southern Leyte.

Based on the report of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs), the 3.1 magnitude quake happened at 10.06 pm on May 10.
Its origin was said to be tectonic and with a depth of 006 kilometers.

The Philvocs reported that there were no aftershocks reported and that it was just a mild quake that it was not felt much in the neighboring town of Hinundayan.
No damage was also reported due to the Sunday night tremor.

Last year, a 5.4 magnitude quake which had its epicenter in Hinundayan had caused damaged to the nearby district hospital in Anahawan town, also in Southern Leyte.
