Alleged Drug Lord Kerwin Espinosa.

In the affidavit executed by the late Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr., he implicated several politicians who are allegedly protecting their illegal drugs business.

The politicians are Leyte Governor Mic Petilla, Vice Governor Loreto Petilla, Leyte 3rd district Congressman Vicente Veloso and Baybay City Vice Mayor Michael Cari among others.

With the death of Mayor Espinosa, The only person that could either corroborate or dismiss the said allegation is his son kerwin Espinosa the alleged drug lord in Eastern Visayas.

Kerwin in an earlier media reports signified his intention to “tell all” what he knows relative to his illegal drug trade in the resumption of the senate hearing investigating the matter.

In an interview with radio station DZRH, Senator Panfilo Lacson the chairman of the committee on illegal drugs provided an advance information to the media as to the content of Kerwin’s testimony.

Here are some of the highlights:

1.He dismissed the allegations that Governor Petilla, Vice Governor Loreto, Congressman Veloso, Mayor Richard Gomez and Vice Mayor Cari are involved in the illegal drug trade as alleged in the affidavit of his father. According to Lacson it seems that local politics influenced the inclusion of the said politicians in the affidavit.

2. He confirmed that he had dealings with the three CIDG officers Supt. Marcos, Supt. Matira and Chief Inspector Laraga. That Supt. Marcos received 1.5 millionas campaign funds for his wife who run as vice mayor in pastrana, leyte.

3. He denied personal knowledge of the existence of the the pink and blue book as alleged by his father

4. He personally know Senator Delima and Police generals allegedly protecting the illegal drug trade.

According to Lacson the lawyer of Kerwin assured the senate of the latters full cooperation in the investigation.
