NAVAL, Biliran, September 23 (PIA)- The chairman of the 2016 Naval Fiesta Executive Committee revealed in a radio program that the town mayor of Naval is aiming to make the biggest crowd-drawing and widely-known Tsinelas Party cleaner, safer and merrier this year.

The 2016 Tsinelas Party, one of the highlights of the annual Naval town fiesta, will be held on October 1 at 7:00 in the evening covering Castin Street going upward to Padre Inocentes Street including Burgos, Redaza and Garcia Streets of Naval town.

“Mayor Gerard Espina conveyed the message to me,” said Allan Paul U. Tubis, chairman of the 2016 Naval Fiesta Executive Committee, during his radio guesting at the Kapihan at Pulong-pulong ng Bayan on Thursday, September 22 together with Rommel Salvatierra, head of the information unit of the local government unit (LGU) of Naval and senior staff of the mayor’s office who is the focal person of the 156th Pueblo Day celebration of Naval and the 2016 week-long Pasundayag.

Tubis added that Naval Mayor Gerard Roger M. Espina wanted to make the partygoers of the Tsinelas Party who come from all walks of life safe from any untoward incident.

Tubis said, Mayor Espina issued an advisory to partygoers of the Tsinelas Party to ensure their safety like no bringing of bags, umbrellas, and wearing of caps and hats inside the dancing hall.

Firearms, knives, sticks and other deadly weapons are strictly prohibited; to use only plastic glasses, bottles and containers for all kinds of drinks; cars and vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas only; and putting-up of tables is allowed until 6:00 pm only.

“Policemen in uniform will be visible in the party area aside from additional policemen in plain clothes and other local civilian paramilitary forces providing security,” he further said.

Medical bays with standby ambulances and health personnel are also stationed in the party area to respond to emergency health needs of partygoers, he said.

The 2016 Naval Fiesta Execom chair also said, to make the Tsinelas Party cleaner, ten portable toilets are strategically placed in the party area for the convenience of partygoers with a reminder to use it with care as these are borrowed from Mayor Richard Gomez of Ormoc City.

Tubis further informed that Mayor Espina will introduce foam showers in the Tsinelas Party to make the revelry merrier, unique and more enjoyable.

He likewise encouraged everybody to see for themselves all the activities lined-up for the 2016 fiesta celebration as he promised that all of the activities are must-watch, enjoyable and wholesome for everybody.

Tubis also reminded the parishioners in Naval town to attend the religious activities of the 2016 town fiesta as the annual celebration is not only all for merriment but the fiesta celebration is in honor of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, the miraculous patroness of Naval.

For his part, Salvatierra informed the Navalenos and the general public that the 156th Pueblo Day on Monday, September 26, 2016, which is the kick-off of a series of fun-filled and enjoyable nightly 2016 Pasundayag activities towards the fiesta day on October 1 is also a much awaited event.
