TACLOBAN CITY – Authorities arrested a drug peddler in a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Iniguihan, Bato Leyte on the afternoon of May 6, 2017.
According to PDEA Regional Office 8 Director Edgar T. Jubay,the suspect was identified as Jerome Cayanong y Resuena, jobless, 22 y.o., male, single, and resident of Brgy. Tab-ang, Matalom Leyte.
Purchased and seized during the operation were six (6) pcs. heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.14 grams with an estimated market value of three thousand pesos (P3,000.00).
Cayanong will be charged for violations of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at Bato Municipal Police Station Lock-up facility while waiting for his commitment order.
