Arrested were Severino Alverio Jr., y Allarite, 40 yrs old, multicab driver and a resident of Brgy 62, Saging, Tacloban City; Don Espina y Rojas a.k.a. “Pakaw “, 36 years old, married, jobless, HVT level 1 rank no. 2 of Ormoc City; Ginno Chung y Montaño, 42 years old, married, driver and a resident of Brgy. District II, Babatngon, Leyte; Dennis Galan y Domasig, 40 yrs old, jobless, married, Rank No. 3 of Sibat 2 Target of Mondragon, N. Samar; Pedro Mari Jr y Pilola, 56 yrs old, married, self-employed and a resident of Palo, Leyte.

A report from Tacloban City Police Office shows that Alverio was arrested at 7:00 P.M. of September 3, 2016, at Brgy 80, Marasbaras, Tacloban City. Police accosted the suspect, and found in possession of nine (9) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu as well as drug paraphernalia.

Espina was arrested in separate operation at 5:00 P.M. of September 3, 2016, at Brgy Lao, Ormoc City. PSI JOSEPH JOEVIL D YOUNG, OIC, Police Station 3 of Ormoc City Police Office said three (3) pieces of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu were recovered from Espina when police operatives raided his house.

Chung, on the other hand, was arrested at 6:00 PM of September 4, 2016, at Brgy. Rizal II, Babatngon, Leyte, for possession of seven (7) sachets of shabu.

Meanwhile, Galan was apprehended at 3:40 P.M. of September 3, 2016, at Brgy Bugko, Mondragon, Northern Samar while Mari was arrested at 8:30 P.M. of same date at Brgy San Miguel, Palo, Leyte. Police said the suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. PRO-8
